To be honest, it used to be WAY worse! I'd have people add me on IM and say I'm "a closet babyfur" and I gotta try it and didn't stop when I asked. At least things aren't -so- bad, but people still push it on me sometimes or assume my characters are wearing diapers even though they're wearing baggy shorts.
Unfortunately that seems to be the curse of many babyfurs I know :P stuff like that looks diaperish to us... this doesn't to me, but the thumbnail sorta did only cause it was so small to my eyes XD
On a similar note, I am proud to say you're the first artist I've personally seen do a picture involving references to underwear on a kid :P (as in plain pointing it out). I like it xD

No worries though, I had a lot of people say on one of my pictures that my character was wearing a diaper, even when they clearly weren't. Many babyfurs tend to do that it seems. I've been following your art since 2007, and I always knew that you weren't a babyfur, it was outwardly obvious. You only enjoy drawing them. ;)
Unfortunately, you just learn to deal with it. Bothers me, but I just try to play fun with it like this doodle.
To me, diapers is kid underwear, I don't connect a fetish to it, it's why I have no problem at all drawing them. But, others do and that's why I don't feel comfy drawing little neko in them. I may in the future once I learn to just not care but not now lol

Ditto. Diapers are undies for babies and younger toddlers. Pull ups are undies for older toddlers. And underwear is for everyone ready to use them XD As a mum you get pretty used to all of them, so I don't see the fetishism. For me my general reactions is 'Oh goodness I hope they don't get diaper rash :C'
Neko to me looks a bit to old for diapers. I could see maybe pullups, since she looks around the 2-4 age range. But diapers? Unless she was drawn smaller I couldn't see them being in her size XD

XD I have 2 little ones. One in the Diapers stage and one in the Pullups sage, so my mind auto goes to diaper rash. It just seems so unpleasant :C
Ahh! How cute. I am tempted to draw more kid characters because my daughters have so many cute outfits that they grow out of so quickly. It's awesome that you change her age depending on how you feel C: Gives you more range for drawing her.

I saw you say once that you weren't into the diaper thing, and that's good enough for me. There's no reason why you'd need to be into diapers yourself to draw cute little cubs who happen to be in diapers. Sure, some who draw them are, but some aren't. It's just how it goes.

All those creepy comments you've mentioned are why when I do commission someone to draw one of my characters as a kid, I'm hesitant to age them down below ten years old. It's bad enough to get creepy comments on pictures showing fully adult characters. I really don't want to hear that stuff about kids. I haven't yet. If I have any diaper/babyfur fans watching me they've never said a word about it to me. (Would that I could say that about some others!) But too many people on FA don't seem to have too many manners at all.
I'm the same way with my fursona but not because I get accused of being a babyfur. Maybe because I rarely upload any. She simply doesn't wear diapers past 2 or 3 because I didn't. I don't see a reason to put her in something I didn't wear. I agree that it would be irritating with the comments you get though. Not all children wear diapers past the age of 3 and when people assume it's worse.

But the second one is the right one, but just to make it sure. Sad that people don't get that you're definitly not a BF, even if you are so kind to draw them (for which I'm pretty thankful). Additionally to that .. I like the friendly but clear way to draw a line here.

lol it's alright, I know how it is. I was in ESL when I was younger because I was really bad in english. Oh ya, I used to get pretty worked up, but I am learning not to care and to poke fun at it sometimes.

*nods* Yeah. Sadly it's as always, a part of a group makes the rest of the group look bad, just because they can't behave. As if our reputation isn't damaged enough already. Guess that will never change ... but it speaks highly of you that you don't judge the whole group for that.

I do and don't. Because I do commissions, I've met quite a lot of babyfurs and I have to be honest, majority were pushy or acted like babies when it was time to be adult and make sure I understand what you're saying. Because of that, I don't personally want to be part of the babyfur group. I also don't want to be part of it because you HAVE to be into it to be part of it, from how people react and talk I've learned that.
But, I also have met tons of wonderful people who are babyfurs, most of my friends are babyfurs. So, I also don't judge since I know there's always great people in those people.

Fair point. And from what you just told I'm amazed that you haven't just given up on us in the past. Pretty sad, that your bad experiences with member of the BF community have been so numerous, really thought the number of idiots would be lower. That does not really cast a good light on us.

You kinda learn to deal with it. The furry fandom itself is full of assholes and drama. I've had my fair share when I was younger, maybe more then my fair share since I drew and got attention from it. But I also had a temper and ranted in journals all the time, I kinda asked for it. I have less trouble these days, though of course, the more popular you get the more trouble you'll get.

As a member both of the "general" furry fandom and a babyfur it just saddens me a bit. Or maybe "ashamed" is the right word. Dunno.

Oh nah, I would never blame them. We ALL assume things about everyone, but yes, it's the ones who actually go up to you and go straight into diaper talk that are the bad ones. Assuming is fine, you just should ask the person first. Most people don't know either, even if I wrote about it often, but I also know now everyone is gonna see that, so no need to get mad at em.

I personally find them ok. Everyone does it. It's the ones that go up to you and go straight into whatever they assume rather then ask first that are the bad ones. Plus, it would save so much time! Some people only wanted to talk to me because they thought I was into diapers. As soon as they found out no, they were gone. Wasted time lol
Why should I care what you're into? It's none of my business anyway. The only thing that matters to me, is your skill as an artist(your skills are awesome btw.) Just because you happen to draw a piece of art of a particular subject matter, it does not necessarily mean that you have any interest in that subject matter(more so if it's a commissioned piece.) I may be an introverted, socially awkward wierdo, but at least I have the decency to not jump to such conclusions about artists.
