more or less impulsive, but based on a very concrete head cannon.
it is also, my dreams take place in a world like i try to depict.
so it could be this world's future, or some other world entirely.
possibly from one or more of my previous lives.
it does seem to have a geography that is relatively fixed.
villages retain their positional relationship to each other,
which distort the map we're awake in,
transit routs serve the same destinations from one dream to the next.
if you've watched a place change over a period of 20 or 30 years,
well those kinds of changes, with nature reclaiming what a drastically diminished population,
would simply have neither the capacity nor inclination to maintain.
our world without the oil, coal, or humans,
no universal currencies, nor claims of sovereignty, beyond local consensus.
people and life generally peaceful, not because of threat, but because it is what they have found works well,
as well as anything can, and better then needless conflict.
also people being individually creative, because nothing to enforce not being, and often simply a result of available expedient,
so a kind of vernacular aesthetic, motivated by an economy of material and effort.
