oh shit! whaat hapned?

My dad backed into it with my mom's Chevy Trail Blazer, hit it at just the right place (least amount of support) and just at the right angle ... the tire actually stopped him. The area that is damaged on my truck only serves to continue the body lines from the cab, and a place for the fuel filler door, there is really no support behind that panel except one support rod just in front of the tire... don't know what they will do yet, the truck is a 2001 with 326,000 miles on it, but it's a diesel engine, so it's good for 1/2 a million. Dad left me with a "lasting impression" huh ?

Shit that sucks. Now you need a new car?

No that can be fixed, I'm still driving it the way it is... I don't like to, it looks awful, they won't total it over that little bit, probably in the area of $2000 - 2500 damage, truck is still worth somewhere in the area of $6000 - 7000... diesel trucks hold their value and there is absolutely no rust on it anywhere.
