Fairly old character study doodles I did a long while ago, Based on two particular characters that I'm still tweaking out to this day.
tl;dr warning.
Soluna, our female, is a Tornadow, so-called for a spinning mechanism developed by all her species (A far older character, Lightning*, can give you a better explanation for this type's name) . Our male here is Oscuro, a rather uncommon species of Weader called a Zeirem, or Noh Weader (I'll put more info up on this species later). These two share the luck of falling in one of the biggest taboos either Cuedow or Weader can ever conceive - falling in love with one another. Of course, they're not the most lovey dovey of pairs...which is good, since those are boring to draw, usually!
Couple notes:
-Yes, they have clothes. No, I have no idea why. Sometimes I make my critters extra-anthro, sometimes I do not. It's a styyyyyle thing. Or something. Plus I was experimenting.
-Soluna, err, isn't just cutely plump, she actually *is* supposed to be pregnant. *NO*, Oscuro isn't the actual father (he will, however, be a surrogate guardian for that child later on, but that's all I'll say on the matter for now). I also wish to stress out that *NO* because Weaders and Cuedows are biologically incompatible, meaning they can't breed with each other. Alas. As for the real father's whereabouts, I'm still working on that, though suffice to say he's a fellow so not-nice it made this gal consider jumping into the inter-species dating pool.
-I may or may not scrap. I like theses doodles immensely, but I could well be on the minority here.
