Will scrap in a bit.
I've never tried a more painterly style before but I've always wanted to give it a try. I think it's a pretty fun style to play with so I may do more experiments in the future. This is an old sketch that I probably won't finish - it was more for experimental purposes than completion sake.

I would definitely consider offering it as a commission type in the future but it would definitely be more expensive than what I currently am offering for my usual style. As an estimate, you'd probably be looking at $75-80 a character without a background, just judging by the prices other people have and also just by how much more time consuming it is. Of course, it would look much, much more refined than this. I'm hoping to one day be able to render my work like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6935565/
It's the same headshot sketch for this piece: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5938346/
It's actually not that bad for rendering, surprisingly. I'm just a little slow at it because this is the first time I've tried this style out. I should probably consider looking into what other people do through tutorials or something. I found it rather fun to play around with and really want to get better at this style and make it more refined. :D
