I have been making new stuff but to my ears it hasn't been going to well. I've also been gaming allot, I've recently made my own minecraft server and been playing that. I do wish to get some new music out but I need to be in the vibe to produce some. If I don't have the creativity flowing I find my music lacks greater then normal. I'm sorry to disappoint you with not having any new sounds but I'm still very much into making it and promise to release it as soon as I have a track finished. I'm not to sure when that will be, since minecraft has become such an addiction to me as of recent times. I do have one track on the go at the moment but my baseline does not fit right with the melody structure I am using. With my recent change back to working days I'll also have less time to work on music since my bf uses the pc to watch tv during the day. I'll try to put more time into the track I have now, at least another 16 hours of work. If nothing comes of it i may need to start a new project. Yet again I'm truly sorry for this but it may take me 2 weeks to a month to get something new out. I just don't have a large enough fan base or demand for my style of music even though I've posted my stuff all around. You seem to be the only one thus far that has payed any attention to my creations. Once my stuff is out though you'll probably be one of the first to know. I hope I can impress and inspire you. I also plan on listening to all of your creations once i have something up so keep the music flowing brother. I'll have more sound soon :3
True, true... To make music for one's own desires happens commonly. Look at people who create music of their love life, be it for themselves or their partner, in love or hatred. They don't target their music for a set group of people yet if people can relate to it I guess that's the bonus. I will keep that in mind more often know as I'm creating music, If I enjoy what I produce there may be odds that someone else may enjoy it.
As for a colab that is not a bad idea, but I would not know how to go about doing it over distance. I've done it with a few buddies here in Ottawa as they were in the same room as me and can add input as the track is being made. For us I guess the track needs to be made in parts and pieced together, we'd each take a section of the track and add to it and arrange it at our own will with set rules in mind. We'd both need to see what our strengths are in our music making so we assist each other more then hinder one another. I'm fairly decent at most things but not a master, my main strength I would guess is percussion so I would definitely take that. I'm also fairly decent at making unique sounding synths. We'd need to discuss this in more detail to iron out what we desire for our colab and how to go about doing it. I'd agree since both of us make our stuff from scratch that it would turn out very unique. If the colab succeeds we could consider a partnership for the future.
