Hah, funnily enough until now I did dog-style noses on my rabbits but never on my kangaroos.

And I think it's not a 'stylistic decision' as much as an unconscious lack of different qualities. For the lazy artist (such as myself) it is sometimes appealing to slap long ears on a dog and say "I drewed a rabbit!"

I'm very glad I came across this! I'm making myself a rabbit fursona, but for some reason using the proper rabbit-style nose hadn't really occured to me. You may be pleased to know that since coming across this image I have already gone back and edited some of my sketches! When I finally get around to uploading images of him, he will have a proper bunny nose thanks to you!
