Too Much Limestone?
Over fed Gorbash from the movie the Flight of Dragons.
Needed to blow off some steam during the hectic holiday times, and soon I will be swamped with this class. So I decided to do some fun fat fanart. Here is my favorite character from my FAVORITE childhood movie of all times, as I stated above "Flight of Dragons" If you have not seen it yet, you MUST. It is the movie that got me obsessed with dragons, especially stockier larger ones. I just love the designs and the story is awesome. Hope you enjoy this as much as I had fun drawing it!

OMG I KNOW! I may do some non fat fanart of it sometime, but I just find drawing fat things relaxing, plus it is more entertaining to my stream viewers a lot it seems, as apposed to when I do more serious art. I have a whole gallery of non fat art though on my

You are welcome! I am SOOOO excited to finally get my OWN DVD of it. My mom got me an amazon gift card for Chanukah and that is the first thing I'm going to buy hahaha. I'm so glad you like the pic, and it was a lot of fun hanging with you during the stream!
Oh, my gosh! O_O I totally remember that movie! It put me on an obsession with dragons for part of my childhood. my favorite scene was in the tavern when the two dragons were eating tons of food. That might have nudged me towards my interest in fat furries and stuff. ^_^

yup me too! The night I saw it, I had caught it missing the beginning and it was on the Disney Channel, for some special movie night. I was SOOO excited and in love with the movie that I sculpted all the characters from memory with femo clay. However my mom didn't know it had to be baked to dry and one of my siblings destroyed it all and I was heartbroken. However, I continued from then on to draw dragons all the time, and make up little stories th were pretty stupid since I was in the second grade haha. But yes it is FINALLY on DVD and it shall FINALLY be mine once again! :D
Thank you so much! I love practicing and trying different styles of art. I took character design in college and one of the our lessons was drawing an animal in the style of a certain show we were assigned. Like we had examples of how they drew all these different characters and we had to choose either an elephant or crocodile to draw in that set style. It was REALLY challenging not knowing how they would draw it, but it gave me good practice to draw in other styles.
I remember watching that movie as a kid, and confused their bloating for gaining weight. X3
So I kept wondering how they'd get up in the air if they were so heavy. XD
But yeah, this was truly a great movie. And this is a great piece of art. ^.-.^

I just dunno what to say about this. This is the ultimate movie in my collection. Don't like the fanart (not that its not awesome!) but its a cherished memory, don't like fanart of those kind of memories. Still awesome to see some recognition for a timeless, unsung classic.
Reading through these comments, I've found many that I agree with.
However, there is one fatal flaw every person on this page failed to mention...
THE MUSIC!!! FOD has probably some of the most inspiring and (yes, I'm a 20 year old guy that does this) tear-jerking music ever.
