This is a painting base on a crocodile which appear in Blacksad vol.1 and also it's my first attempt in painting so don't be so harshly on me.

Looks quite blurry which I still don't know how to shape things up yet.

It's not bad at all! Although looking at it, it does suggest the source of light to coming from the front of the character, like from a table lamp.

When painting just remember to define areas like you would if you were doing it digitally. You're doing fine!

I can't quite put my finger on it but this does remind me of something in particular. A close friend of mine mentioned Blacksad but I have yet to check it out myself.

On that note, great work and nicely detailed!

If you wanted to sharpen him and make him look less hazy, areas of higher contrast will help.

Gosh, he's gorgeous, though.
