Using a cake mix as a base can lead to the most amazing, colourful and wonderful creations such as this beautiful tasty cake from the kitchens of  namisohma

lol my special orange cake! "Sunset cake" lol

Its uber simple,

Take standard white cake mix, and substitute the water with orange juice, pulped is better than pulp free
Then follow the instructions on the box, (cook at 350, on standard oven, 325 on small ovens)

For the icing, take an orange and zest the peal, ALL the peal and mix in with white icing (can do chocolate, just white is a preference, if you know how to make home made icing, please do!!!)

Mix zest in thoroughly,

To get the colors, separate your mix into 3 bowls and place lots of red and lots of orange into 2 of the mixes,

Poor in layers in the sinter of cake pane (do not shake or mix!!!)

Bake until firm

Ice your cake and then take your orange, split into slices and decorate with them lol!

Its fun and easy
