Thanks! If it makes you feel any better I'm pretty sure the seagull never actually succeeded in eating the starfish.

Nah, he lives at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. His life is a confetti of spilled popcorn, bread, candy, donuts and bait pilfered from fishermen's buckets. ;P

You do have to remember to rinse him in warm water and bleach from time to time, though, so he doesn't go moldy. :P
