I made a free sketch for 
atrakaj 16 months ago (holy pogo stick, I'm really not active) and I woke up today and thought I could ink and color it to test 
tojo-the-thief method. Well, I must be doing something wrong.
The color mask goes over the lines and creates outer strokes, which the pale background barely hides, my shading technique is weak and my drawing is shaky, making everything look rough and dull, especially the sword. I can't manage to draw straight lines or color inside the lines with a tablet, let alone a mouse. Not to mention I seem to have issues with the magic wand in photoshop, go figure.
