I woke up this morning with this image clearly in my head. I was dreaming of this exact image. It just had another child in it but it didn't really work out when I drew it, so I just put one child.
Im not sure what it means, but I thought it was a gorgeous and peaceful image, when I woke up I made sure I didn't forget it and that I drew it. I dont do the "real look" all the time, my style tends to fall into cartoony, but I equally enjoy doing a paint style as well, when inspiration hits
I love that type of sudden inspiration
Art is so wonderful, because you can take something in your head, and share it with everyone around you..You can express your deepest thoughts, without having to sit down and ask someone to listen to you.

This is super cool, Tippie! The image itself is interesting and provokes a number of feelings along with situations. However, your description as to how it came to be is perhaps the most profound part of it all.
The saying "A picture's worth a thousand words" is very true indeed. Here, you depict a moment of inspirational thought without the burden of defining it with the limits that words provide. Rather, the 1,000 words are open to each individual viewer to create based on the scene that you saw. As such, the scene can mean so many different things beyond the single view you may have. Moreover, an outside viewer may be able to provide an insight that you may not have ever considered in which adds even deeper meaning to something that already has a special place in your heart.
Much of my work lately prides itself on taking in the thoughts and concepts others add to it. Imagery can evoke so much and keeping an open mind and heart makes it possible for us to not only better understand the work, but ourselves and the world around us in which we live in.
Personally, this is why I prfer art to writing. Words can be limiting in the sense they are just that, words. A pink fish is a pink fish and shimmering sword is a shimmering sword. However, to put either in an artistic scene allows the viewer to think more on how the subject got there, what the subject is doing, and what the subject may be doing next.
This image, for example, has a very nostalgic feel about it. I can't help but think of a time like when the original Wizard of Oz was to take place. Perhaps we are the viewer seeing this happy child and thinking to ourselves on how we wish we could be on that ferris wheel with her. There's that could be said, but this comment would be a book if I did. None the less, the images point is made in that a story can be made out that goes beyond the single moment in time that you captured.
Here's to inspiration and creativity. May it always empower us to go that extra mile.

I must say I always look foward to your comments on my work. they are an inspiration in themselves :). I also get alot of my work from studying others. I especially love cartoonish styles I grew up with. I was born in 1990 and I grew up with "Goofy movie" and cartoons of this era, and I always wanted to make my own little cartoons and art :) and before I started drawing cartoons, I did a lot of realism and studied real life. Its wonderful! Even though I can see how words can be limiting, I cant help bu add that I feel you do a wonderful job of painting with words! I love the way you illustrate scenes in Pam and Ripp, I can really feel whats going on.
This piece is very nostalgic to me, I think of it like something that never happened really in my childhood, but something I dreamed about..an innocent serenity :).
:) *thanks for the inspiration my buddie* *huggies*
