"the windy thing" is "the Marilyn Monroe thing". It's just become one of those things where everyone knows the reference but doesn't know where it came from.

I am well aware that this pose is from Marilyn Monroe. In fact, I google searched her name in order to find the image. I just meant that I chose to title it "The Windy Thing" because John is doing the windy thing and that is why WV has been forced into a Monroe situation.

"The Windy Thing" is a reference to Homestuck, where John has the aforementioned power. The reference fits within the context.
