I confess to not being knowledgeable enough to really tell off-season from on-season--as you say, having veins standing out is a sign of flexing as well as being incredibly ripped, so that really can't identify it, and he still looks incredibly huge and beefy to me. Some of the lines and curves are softer, but that could be a function of the fluffy fur. So I really can't say if he looks off-season or not.
All of that said, he looks awesome to me regardless, especially for a guy you pretty much designed yourself off of a description. ^_^
