It looks like either Charlie isn't very gifted in the time-planning department, or something about that question hit a nerve. What could it be?
The comic always updates first on its own website at icq-comic.com, typically on weekends. The next page is already available there, and you will see more of I.C.Q. on FA Thursday Jan 5th.

Well, the scene https://www.furaffinity.net/full/7025682/ speaks of an embarrasing experience Blake had... not enough background. What was the rest of the sotry? It's obviously important enough to get some rivalry between Charlie and Blake going.
https://www.furaffinity.net/full/7105812/ panel two... the rivalry continues. The deal between these two.....?
Same page, panel three; Melly's giving the chuckling serpen girl a reproving poke.... why? I understand maybe why she chuckles, but Melly's poke?
This page - Charlie seems all down now with no apparent cause.
Maybe I'm just too old to get it?

Well, part of the relevant background lies in the early pages of the comic, where Charlie first appears, in that he and Blake have this razor-wit friendship going on. Charlie and Blake basically pick on each other because they're best friends and that's how they show their friendship. It's all good-natured banter to them.
Becky has a cruder sense of humor than Melissa does; Melly isn't entirely convinced that "stick a cock in it" is an acceptable way of saying "shut up".
There's definitely a cause for Charlie's reaction, but that'll come up later. As may the full story of Blake's romantic faux pas. For now, Charlie is removing himself from the situations because there are aspects of his choice of academic career that he's not ready to talk about yet. (There are also further hints in some of the extra material, especially
quoting_mungo's LJ Idol entries, since most of Blake's entries also talk about Charlie.)
We're going to have a talk about this and see if we can think of a way to make some of these things clearer in future pages, where it may be necessary. In general, we have enough of an idea of where we'll be going in the future that some events are likely to work more as foreshadowing-in-hindsight than anything else.

1) Caracals have freaking huge ears. It's adorable. And the artist has a tendency to push things like huge ears and fluffy tails so Charlie's ears have a way of growing when she's not looking.
2) I can't guarantee he'd accept it, but Charlie could sure use a hug about now, yes.
3) I can tell you this much: Charlie's not gay.
