Very nice, especially for a first attemp. I think you've captured the concept of fur texture on black paper very well. ^_^

Unfortunately much of that comes down to practice, practice and practice. But hopefully you will enjoy working on it. ^_^ I would suggest (if you don't mind me doing so) that since you've clearly grasped the concept of fur texture so well, next try to focus on bringing out the shape of animal and its features with different shading, fur direction etc. From what I've seen your art, I think the same applies for non-black paper, perhaps even more so because the black isn't there to create brilliant highlights and deepest shadows. :)

Thanx I shall do that I apreciate the help too ^^ an your right it is alot down to practise as ive found so far lol ^^ been drawing since I could hold a pencil XD jus now im heading into more serious work as well as a hobby ^^ I can use all the help I can get lol ^^

Real life interfering and all that.

I always enjoyed working in pastels on black paper too, back in school when I actually used physical media for art.
Good to see that you did your research too and got the facial marking right. So many people just put spots randomly all over snowleopard faces.

Thankies pastel pencils are one of my fav media to work with ^^ an yeah I know what ye mean, I love animals an know most pretty well just in my minds eye but I do like to have many referances to go too so I can get it as close as possible ^^
