I am slowly working myself back into the arting groove again, so for a little 'warm-up' I worked on this fellow here.

This is Saar, an arctic Itanta from the world of Chaz Targrin's comic Intergalactic Truck Stop.

Saar is an arctic Inanta that came from one of the skyscraper villages the planet is known for. He led a pretty average life, but things took a turn for the worse for him.

The Itanta are a popular race for people to capture and perform all kinds of genetic experiments on, and Saar would have been one of those unlucky souls had he not managed to escape from his captors and now he's on the run.
He tries to stay in hiding since he can't remove the shackles and he has a tag on his ear that would identify himself pretty quickly.
The blue patch over his eye was actually something he did; he decided he wanted to try something different since fur coloring is pretty normal and his fur is all white, but now he kind of regrets it since it's a pretty identifiable mark.

I can imagine that at some point he would end up at the ITS, but what would happen there is, well, any body's guess.

Overall, this image is pretty simple, which was a nice way to get back into the swing of things, nothing too complicated.
