Gill Grunt’s Story Part 2
After what felt like hours, Gill finally wakes up to find himself on land, in what he believes to be the lower part of the misty lagoon, with no harpoon gun, a twisted fin, and no others to be found, he continues on into the thick fog in search of one of the others.
A couple of minutes or so of limping he hears an angelic voice calling out to him.
“Gill.... Gill... Come to me...” says the voice
Almost hypnotized by the voice, Gill seeks out the one calling him, it brings him to a small pond that seemed to be Sparkling.
He looks at the water for a moment, investigating it, could he have gone crazy from the explosion? He did hit his head pretty hard.
“He..Hello? Is someone there?” he says to the pond
Just as he says those words, something springs up from the water in a majestic twirl and starts swimming towards him, as it comes closer he notices that the thing has a human face, but a fish’s tail fin.
“Hello, Gill, you have heard my voice” says the Human-fish
“Wh..what are you?” says Gill, still a bit confused at the thing wading in the pond in front of him
“I am a mermaid, I had seen what happened, and I thought I could help” says the mermaid “I can help you find your way back”
Gill says nothing, still boggled by the magical being, all he could do is stare at her Magnificent Body, he had no words to describe her, only that she was the most Beautiful being he had ever set his fishy eyes on.
Before he had a chance to speak to her, he noticed the ground below him had gotten lower, no, he was flying!
“Ahhhh! What’s going on?” says Gill as he flails his feet about trying to get back to the ground
“Don’t worry, it’s fine, I will take you back to your Group” says he Mermaid
“H...how can i ever repay you?” says Gill not really knowing what else to say
“Only that you must vow to return to me after your Travels” says the mermaid with a wink
Gill nods with a blush, and proceeds to fly back to the ship.
*after the Events at the pond, Gill makes it back safely to the ship to find the other soldiers and grunts celebrating a victory, including the others who were in his group*
“Gill your alive!” yells Finneus as he runs over to hug him, then awkwardly backs up, shaking his hand instead
“How did you survive? We thought you were... you know” says one of the grunts
“Well it’s a long story” says Gill.

*Years later, after his Tours in the military, Gill returns to the misty lagoon where the Magical Mermaid lives to fulfill the mermaids request to return, only to find that she is no longer there, heartbroken, he searched the rest of the pond, the lagoon, and all over skylands to find her, only to discover she had been kidnapped by pirates. So he decided to give up and go to the sky islands to think*

“*sigh* if only I could save her, she is probably long gone by now” Gill says to himself out loud “she could be anywhere” he says as he Covers his teary eyes with his hands.
“Hey, are you ok fish-man-thing?” says someone from behind him
Gill turns around to find a Purple Dragon and some orange puff ball thing with 2 golden pistols
“Ooh ooh Spyro, can I shoot him?” says the puff ball
“No, Trig, he doesn’t seem like an enemy” says the dragon “Hi, I’m Spyro, and this here is Trigger Happy, what’s your name?”
“I’m Gill” says Gill
“Hi, Gill, What’s wrong?” asks Spyro
“Oh. It’s just this girl, she was kidnapped by pirates, I wish there someone to protect All of skylands” says Gill, still upset
Spyro and Trigger happy look at each other then back to Gill.
“Well, there kind of is” says Spyro “come with us”
Gill gets up and follows them to the other side of the island where there was a balloon with a cat like creature inside.
“Ah, Spyro, Trigger happy, there you are, and whose that?” says the cat
“I’m Gill” says Gill
“Well then, Welcome Gill, come on in guys lets head back, Master Eon will be glad to meet our new friend, by the way, I’m Flynn” says the cat
After a long ride they finally arrive at their destination, The Ruins.
Once there, they were greeted by a projection on an old man
“Hello there Skylanders, and who is this” says the Man
“I... I’m Gill” says Gill a bit Confused of what’s going on
“Welcome Gill, do you want to help protect skylands?” says the man
“Y..yes I do!” says gill with a burst of confidence
“Well then Gill, Welcome, To the Skylanders”
