Wishkah the Husky
Meet Wishkah the husky! Just finished, Jan 5th 2012.
Created using an all-foam base and lined with a very comfortable non-balaclava liner. The entire mask inside is hollow and soft with great ventilation due to the open mouth and huge vents hidden in each ear. plastic/buckrum eye construction, Sculpy Ultralight was used for the teeth and nose, with a soft stuffed tongue.
I used black, grey, short white, medium white, long white, even a fur I found called "Siberian Husky" yay! As well as anti-pill fleece for the inner-ears, cotton solid for the tongue, black cording for the lips, and vinyl for the eyelids.
LOTS of drybrushing/painting on this one, super duper cute clear whiskers cover the face and eyebrows.
The eye color has a unique marbled coloration, to mimic the appearance some huskies have. And the nose has been gradually painted to look like a snow nose. <3

I love the snow nose! CUTE. My only crit is that the bottom jaw should tuck up into the upper jaw more? I don't know how to explain it but dogs don't really have much of a chin to speak of and the bottom jaw is usually very small and hidden in the top one.
Great work though! Love this, probably my favorite of yours so far. (Besides Cathlamet. I am in love with that suit. xD)

Aww! Such an adorable pup! It has the cuteness of Beef Jerky, but its still different enough to be seen as its own character. I wuff it!
You mentioned critiques.. I'd hate to give critiques but you asked. The white blaze between the eyes doesn't line up with the nose. I think the left eye is floating too far to the right, which forced the blaze further to the right, which made it not line up with the nose. I'm probably wrong or being fooled by the photo, but that's what I see. Sorry! D:

Where did you get the fur? That looks incredibly similar to ioco's fur and I have yet to find a consistent source for it.

I'm having trouble finding anything to critique!
at my first glance. the only thing I saw that could possibly use correction were the catchlights in the eyes. They seem slightly dinged and I think it would bring out that illusion of light reflection a little better if you highlighted them more.

I saw this and literally "Squeed" at how cute it was. You've really out done yourself!
As for critique, there's really nothing that jumps out. The only thing that seems off (to me) is the black line from the bottom of the nose to lip. I understand why it was done, but it just thows me off on the front view. Almost like a cleft lip. But then again I've not seen a mask pull it off with out me getting that impression. So I'm sure that's just me.
