And we're back from the holiday break :3 We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year :D
We're starting off with a new page of RPG, seems J'rar isn't taking too well to the situation.
Isn't it silly how often the initial weapon in a game is Wooden/Wood _________. What are you gonna do...splinter them to death?

Ah yes, I do remember wooden weapons from some games I've played in the distant past, such as the very first Zelda game for Nintendo. Back then, I guess it made sense for game developers, but today...not really. XD
The art is looking great as always. I particularly like the range of expressions shown by the characters in this comic, including J'rar's angered and disappointed looks on his face. :)

On the one hand, if you've ever been hit with a board you'd know how much it hurts. You can break bones if you hit them in the right spot. Or knock them out completely.
On the other hand, knights and other warriors would practice with wooden swords because they were heavier than the actual metal swords so when they were in battle with a real sword they wouldn't become fatigued during the fight.
And now that I've dispensed my useless knowledge, I am enjoying the RPG strip.

Anything can be made into a effective weapon, even a wooden sword. It can provide a good distraction. Blunt object. Lure the attacker in close, engage in hand to hand combat. Grab the knife hand, twist it, drive their own blade into their own heart.
Kingdom Hearts, sword was ineffective, just like the practice sword thing in Kingdom Hearts 2 with Roxas.
Technically, in Kingdom Hearts, the wooden sword was used twice against the Heartless, on the island, and Hollow Bastion where Riku claimed the Keyblade from Sora in in the WaterCrater, leaving Sora alone to deal with the Heartless with only a wooden sword. There you had to survive to get up to the main hall to confront Riku again to claim the keyblade back. So the wooden sword was used in combat with the heartless for a second brief time.

My favorite RPG game is Dead Rising 2 Off The Record, You dress, fight, and act however you feel like, and everyone else is just there for the ride, and Evan MacIntyre is the best and wierdest Clown Ever and the most adorable evil "little person" on earth, All Hail Frank West photojournalist, comedian, and zombie hunter
