Isabella gasped when she suddenly felt little paws wrap around her. For the longest time the child had been ranting to the little platypus about her woes. How Phineas had, yet again, taken what was meant as a romantic evening for them both,and turned it into a fun game for all the gang to join. And it had drove her so crazy, she stomped away in a huff. So when Perry showed up, like he did at the end of evey day, it was welcomed. Sure, he wouldn’t have understood- she thought- but at least he was somebody.

The rain had poured harder and harder as she worked herself up into a real crying fit. Tears mixed and splashed in the puddles, as if she was nothing but a little rain cloud.

Yet, when she felt Perry the platypus comfort her, she was snapped out from her funk. His chattering and petting of his own calmed her down. Finally, she couldn’t help but smile as she wiped away her tears. Her cheeks were puffy and red from her distress.

“Oh…I suppose i shouldn’t really worry. We’re young, after all, and he IS a boy. I…I guess if you REALLY love somebody, you can wait. Even if it feels like it’s been forever already. T-thanks Perry….Phineas will notice me someday. You’ll see.”
