Attention grabs are often annoiying. What is consider dumb, or "genius random funny", depends on the social group. If you are in the clique, it's lols all round, if not, it's shunned for the annoiying behavior it is. The funny part is that when someone outside the clique critisizes their behavior, you get pretty much the responces in the comic. Although you didn't include "Your just gelous because you're not so clever/random/in on the joke/up to date with the latest 4chan crap."

i mean i tolerate a modicome of stuff because furries tend to allow it way past its expiration date and i know sometimes it's not necessarily someone's fault

That is why we had a 21+ rule for our guild in Warcraft... works much much nicer when there are not any annoying children types (this applies to more than actual children)

Yeah, I more or less agree here. The, "occasional," lol and emoticon is fine, but if you're using that sort of stuff one or more times every sentence its becomes annoying fast. I like to think of stuff like that as a spice, a little spice added to your food brings out the flavor, but add too much and it becomes an unappetizing mess.

Every time I see people act like this...all I can say is "Are you trying to be cute or something?" I mean it's nothing but annoying as shit.
