These minis were built from various Space Marine parts, as well as WH40k Lizardmen Saurus Warrior parts.
The Lizardmen bodies were chopped off and rounded slightly just above the waist. The second legs were attached, and the lower bodies were glued to their bases. The torsos were then assembled and attached, followed by the heads. Their icons were placed last.
The one on the right was the first I build, and I learned that I should clip the bony headplates down, because they interfere with the backpack and thus have to be turned significantly. His torso is also leaned back a little further than I'd like, but it'd look fine on the tabletop I think.
These were made shortly after I was chatting with
synxirazu-niam about thinking of making some scaly Space Marines. These two were built sort of at his request - it wasn't a commission or request, but I felt like making some that could be him.
So far, these have only been assembled, and are unpainted. Apologies for the terrible photo, the angle is just awful because I was steadying my hands on a chair back that was probably a little lower than would be best.
The one on the left's icon is crooked, because while it was drying, I was working on another project, and didn't notice it start to lean over. By the time I did notice, it was pretty solid. Might go back, clip it off, and re-glue it.
Both are equipped with a boltgun and power sword, and would do well as Sternguard Sergeants, or Honor Guard, or even a Captain. May also use them as more normal Sergeants.
True to his form, I built them mainly with Chaos Marine bitz. I believe the exceptions are that the one on the left has a loyalist power sword from an old Space Wolves kit, and the one on the right has a boltgun from the new Space Wolves Pack kit.
I intend to eventually paint these in a simplified version of Synx's colors.
The models and photo belong to me. Synx belongs to himself. And WH40k, WHFB, and all their related stuff belong to Games Workshop.
