I said it once I will say it again you need to do more with guitar, and I do not mean in just trance like this but more solos and maybe even dueling guitars or something like that.
I like the tones in this music it is lower in heavy tones, but keeps the faster tempo so it could be used as a middle transition to the next dance set, nice work.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! Yea, I would do more with my guitar, but the mic I have it really crappy and gives me a significant noise floor to deal with. I would really like to get something like at least a Shure SM-57, but preferably I'd like to get a Royer R-122. http://www.royerlabs.com/R-122.html
I've used one of those before for recording at school, and it is soooo amazing. It has such awesome warmth, but still can capture a nice bite, especially when used in conjunction with a SM-57. The only thing that sucks is the price tag...$1750. Whereas the SM-57 is 100$. Oh well, lol.

Mind you you are speaking in a language that I barely understand, I have a great appreciation for the arts all across the board. Outside of a bit of use in the freeware Audacity I have no audio experience; so all the thing about types of microphones and speaker types that have little to no noise I get, but what brand is better than another, way over my head, sorry.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on like that. I just got fantasizing about awesome microphones and the rest just kinda happened, lol. I will say one thing though, if you can only get one mic, get a Shure SM-57 or SM-58 (They're pretty much the same internally). There one of the most versatile mics you can get, and they're extremely tough. You can often find really good deals on them too. ^_^ Just remember, SM-57; great mic.
Yea, it's really pricey, but damn it sounds amazing. especially for electric guitar cabinets. You just pair it with a 57 and you have some of the ballziest electric guitar sound ever. The way I did it at school, was I took a 57 and set it at a 45 degree angle pointing inward towards the edge of the driver, and then had the R-122 set in the center about 8 inches away from the driver. Even the instructor said it sounded amazing. He would usually change what I was supposed to set up every session, but after I set up the mics for the guitar cabs that first time, i was always the one he wanted to set it up the next time, lol. That class was awesome.
Hah! I don't have any personal experience capturing guitar on mics, but I know the sort of effect that would create and I'm pretty sure it's as amazing as you say it is. Sounds like you had a fun class too. It's a good thing your instructor recognized what you could do with those two mics. I suppose it would be good to shoot for the 57 first and leave the R-122 as a more long term goal. That way one day you'll get it.
yea, the 57's are super versatile, so it would just be a good choice to get one even if I already had a r-122, especially since its a somewhat fragile ribbon mic. but the 57 probably give you the best bang for your buck in the world of mics. i'll probably pick one up as soon as i get some money to spare. ^_^
