After sleeping many, many nights in its awesomeness, I finally decided to share my favorite Christmas present: a custom, crocheted My Little Pony blanket featuring Rainbow Dash napping on a cloud. DEAL WITH IT.

But seriously, best mom award goes out to my mom for this. She's been well-aware of my love of Friendship is Magic (and is very much confused/disturbed by it) and she was making crochet blankets for the holidays and mine just ended up...special! I promise I didn't put her up to it! However, she did ask me for some Rainbow Dash reference images that I thought were cool, so a big thanks to the My Little Pony Vector Club on Deviant Art for their hard work and their awesome collection. -and before it's asked: Rainbow Dash and her kooshy cloud is a hand-made applique made from a very plus, fleece-like material that's extremely warm and soft, with a little bit of embroidery for details.

If anyone wants one for their own...she did say she had a pretty strong interest in making a few more to sell if she could get enough money to at least pay for itself. I'm told there's over $50 in material in this blanket, and it takes three days of near-constant work or a little shorter than two weeks if there's only a couple hours of work each day (mostly, the crocheting itself is the time-consuming labor of love). She'll make anypony (or any cutie mark, perhaps?) on a blanket design of your choice! Just tell me (and I'll tell her!) what you'd be willing to pay and she might just do it! =3
