Incidentally, My Little Pony owes a lot of Dungeons and Dragons. It's weird to think about, and despite all the fantasy tropes employed by the current series most notable in G1.
The Unicorn's ability to teleport is a good example, it's a holdover from the 80s D&D cartoon. They apparently both shared a chunk of staff. The similar staff also makes the fact that the first villain is a demon prince... thing and the second a sorceress make a lot more sense for a show people think of as rainbow ponies frolicking in a meadow.

They've got plenty of time off between saving the world, plus it could be a good way to practice for the next inevitable threat to come knocking on Ponyville's door.
Also for sake of an rpg episode they could try a scifi rpg like Eclipse Phase, but with no specifics on the setting and such.

I've had a couple responses like that. It's odd, since there's some formatting and font issues and a few things that are too vague compared to the typical monster entry that betray it's origins. And I think it's obvious I swiped the background page off a PDF since it's grainier than everything else Xp
Wendigo is already a template that can be applied to humanoids in 3.0 in the fiend folio, and it's substantially more frightening. It's closer to the original version, and resembles the base creature mixed with a yeti and/or winter wolf. It has its feet burnt off and flies around in constant wind walk. It drives people mad by whispering insane thoughts to them upon the howling winds. They're also very scary in large groups since they're so mobile.
This one is also pretty cool, but the circle of cold seems extraneous if it also gets cone of cold 3 times per day.
