This was actually something for work that got rejected a long time ago but I felt bad throwing out because I kinda liked. Came across it a few weeks ago and tweaked it a bit, figured I'd toss it up here c:. Horse anatomy will always confuse me, so for all you equine fans, please forgive me eeep!

Things I love about this piece:
the lighting is amazing... all those lava-like cracks and motes of glow in the air..
the very real feel that the mane has to it, how its not perfectly silky but it looks coarse and tangled
the perception of depth as created by the blurring further in the distance
the eyes look so luminous, as well as gentle...
and last but not least, unicoooornnnn.... <3 <3

I had the fav this because this this so emotionaly and visually intense, so raw, so epic, powerful and very original. I love how the light is cracking out of the unicorn's hide, the nostrils flaring out flaring hot light from it's face, the shiny jet black coat and the horse-like anatomy of the beautiful beast. I understand as well that drawing feral horse anatomy can be a pain, having trying it a few times myself, but what you did is mostly alright, aside with problems with the horn's location.
