I've been working on this for a while now, slowly but surely... I am NOT very familiar with action poses, at all. So this was tough but I really like how it's coming along so far. I'm going to do at least this "two panel" look showing both sides of the fight. It's obviously not finished but... I felt like sharing how it was coming along. xD
Critiques welcome! Just be nice about it... I'm also a bit rusty on my anatomy... ;___;

I was going off of pictures, I'll try to see if I can make the initial attack look more dynamic though because I do get what you mean. :) The top sketch is also less refined than the bottom one because it's not my character, so specifically for hair I more drew it in to get the hair correctly the first time. Looking at it today it definitely seems flat, the character doesn't normally wear her hair up. XD Thank you for the critique! I'll get another sketch progress of this up eventually and you'll have to let me know if I got the movement in the pose a little more. :)
Thank you, this is like my sixth time trying to draw this fight. I decided to just do the two panel shots to get both characters in better and it worked wonderfully, finding the right references also helped a lot. But within the next couple of weeks I hope to go back through and rework the top picture add some more detail and give it a little more movement. The bottom picture I need to make her expression a little more intense, fix some of the hair and detail those damn feathers. >_<;;
Aww, thanks! I was excited to finally find the right poses to do this, I really wanted to do something where you could see both characters well too so I figured this might be a fun way to do it. Is Raja's hair alright up like that then?? I didn't add as much detail to her yet because I wanted to make sure I had it drawn where it's still easy to recognize her because her hair looks a lot different up!! haha
I think my only crit, is that in the first panel it looks more like shes blocking the kick , where in the second one, it looks like shes preparing to strike instead of block like in the first panel.. but maybe thats just me.. other then that.. its looking friggin amazing !! <3
Yeah, I noticed that too, I'm going to adjust the first panel after I do some more work on my commissions and hopefully work out the issues. I think the main reason I had more trouble with that one is because there's a lot more going on in it. The second one is a lot more straight forward and is something more in my comfort zone. And thanks hun! Glad to see you on here!! :D
yeah im buzzing around.. having a hard time figuring out what to draw on here again haha.. i actually just dusted off my hentai foundry account affter like 2 years XD haha.. drew a piece i have to upload in a bit.. but im floating around :) .. we should do an art trade some day soon <3 i miss my drawing buddy D:
