For those of you who are unaware, I am sorry to inform you that as of November 21st 2011, the author Anne McCaffrey, who wrote such stories as 'The Dragonriders of Pern', 'The Crystal Singer', 'The Ship Who Sang', and other stories passed away from natural causes.
She was an inspiration to many, myself included.
I am working with other artists to try and create a collage of dragons (and even other creatures/people) mourning her, sending her off in style.

This is my progression from a rough sketch on paper to the (almost) final product.
It's just missing details like tat's and earring/ring, ect.
