a wererabbit flashing her throbbing, growing pawhand for you. this is the one part of a failed rabbit transformation sequence I still have that is worth showing even here in the scraps section:)

hm. I'll assume you are referring to the size of the claws *shrugs* real rabbit claws are relatively thin, but lets consider for a moment that these are pawhands, and that nails usually span the majority of the width of the end of the finger: now make the fingertip (along with the rest of the finger) thicken, increasing the diameter of the nail, and then elongate the nail into a claw, and you can begin to see why its unusually thick. more than anything its a matter of creative decision, but it can be explained away: some thinning might be considered, but it all depends on the mixture of genetics in the nail/claw: thicker/rounded for human, thinner/sharper for rabbit. Bet you weren't expecting a legitimate explanation now where you? ;)
Actually I was referring to the way they look sort of twisted and gnarled. When I think of bunny paws I think of something cute and fluffy, but I'll freely admit I haven't had a good look in the past, bunnies tend to run from me when I get close.
I'll agree, I think one thing that is underestimated in many transformation pictures are the scale as things are sized up. Nothing wrong with a set of good talons or claws either, I mean werebunnies would need to dig big holes. :)

this is way slow in coming, but hey, I rarely go in my own scraps folder ;)
I chose to make the hand more gnarled as it changed to represent the chaotic nature of the transformation: I imagine all that extra bone, muscle, and sinew wouldn't come in in a streamlined way: The fingers are filling out at the joints first so they don't break themselves apart as the rest of the fingerflesh forces its way in. imagine alot of chaotic twitching and unnatural flexing of the fingers as new muscle and sinew develops and pulls the hand in strange ways until all the appropriate nerves and muscle are in place. Its all rather chaotic to transform into a werecreature, in my opinion;>
