As far as I know, they are full-range. Cords get tangled easy tho...

I know audio equipment is up there in price, but why do you need such a pair of headphones?

True "straight pipe" sound makes accurate mixing easier. It is easy to adjust the parameters on your stereo to make a song sound good. It is a talent to be able to mix a song so it sounds good on any system it's played on...

True... well, partially.

For example:

This sounds odd on my laptop speakers... mostly sounds like popping.

This sounds great in my $10 headphones.

Go figure...

That might be because I downmixed it with a similar type of headphones...

don't know if you've gotten them yet. do not forget.
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS put a limiter/compressor on, before you even start. always always always. if you exceed a certain range you can blow your speakers/headphones in a heartbeat. I found out the hardway once. good thing I used el-cheapo speakers from a value-world XD. if your using FL Studio, just throw softclipper on your master on the default settings, they are correct. (if your not using FL anymore, look at the settings on softclipper, its still just a basic compressor).

I don't want anyone to accidentally expensive headphones.

Thanks. I have also learned that lesson the hard way. I used to record live bands a very long time ago. And I had a nice pair of headphones for the studio to be able to down-mix songs and scrub the tracks. However I have only been using software for a couple months now. I appreciate the reminder. ^_^
