HI I'M NOT DEAD

anyway, I figured I don't finish enough pics and my friends showed interest in this when it was in it's pencil sketch form, so I decided to ink and color it. I really liked when it was just lineart with the painting in the background and anthy (the character) colored, but then I rememberd that I suck major dick at drawing/coloring/coming up with backgrounds. so ya, stare at anthy and pretend the background isn't there.

on another note, UTENA IS THE GREATEST ANIME EVER. seriously. I didn't think it would be any good. the premise sounded fucking retarded. Me and a group of friends started watching it thinking we would get a good laugh out of it, and now it's our favorite show. it's kinda sick. but it's all cool, because me and talon had been falling out of anime recently and this show resparked our love for the artform.

anyway, please tell me how I can improve backgrounds.
