You could think about engraving and enameling the designs oon the horns. Or maybe do a gold filigree inlay. I think it would look great.

To me, though the gold swirls never come off, they're meant to seem like jewelry. That's why I prefer the idea of wiring. Painting or engraving would be too permanent for the look I'm wanting.

So horn rings IOW. Like ear rings, bracelets, or a ring but for the horns.

I think that would look better too.

It also matches her back piece a little more. I kind of envision them as a set, even if the back piece comes off and is optional.

The back piece coming off is also GREAT for someone who has to wear this over a wig. I can't imagine having to put the full set on over a wig. All the entangling and the snagging and then moving the wig with it and ugh. lol

That would be epic! I'm looking for something similar to Onyx's hairstyle, though it doesn't have to be exact. Either so dark brown it's practically black or black. I have a couple wigs at home - one looks more realistic in texture, but it's way too full to look remotely real. The other is super shiny and fake, but it has a more realistic cut. Either way I go, I definitely look like I'm wearing a wig as is.

The one atop this is probably the best reference. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7189471 is also a good ref, although it doesn't have to be that long in the back by any means. I'm more concerned with matching the front style than anything. Even if it's not quite right, but it looks pretty realistic, I'm good with it. I'm not terribly picky. :)
