I had to stop writing Through the Wonderglass because one of the lead characters were not mine, and we got into a fight and i didnt have the rights to the characters

he wrote up a conrtact for me to have the people sign but it was already to late :/

It was a good story, but a story can always be changed to adapt.

If your dreams really resigned in this story, then tell it how you feel and stand by your story through any obstacle.

Seconded, it was an awesome comic and I would love to see it again. Redoing a comic is not a bad thing, its been quite long enough that most people would need to reread from the beginning anyway to get back into the plot and I think that your artistic skills have improved since you started it that it would look better anyway.

I'd be willing to let you use any of my characters if you wanted to recast. I don't mind one bit =) I'd love to read it if you started it up again =)

Hey personally if you redid your comic I'd be more then happy to read it myself and I'm sure many other people feel the same about it. But still you do what you wanna do missy and I'm sure the people who enjoy your art will back you the whole way :).

Redoing things isn't necessarily a bad thing, plus you'd only have to redo a few pages. Heck if you're worried about rehashing just continue with the story but change the characters, so long as you change the previous pages with the character that got removed by the time/if you publish the story everything will be fine

There is an old german proverb: if you fall of the bike you must climb back on the saddle. Restart the comic, we will notz be bored. You have any idea how many resets I had with Airpatrol? About 4! Each time I drew 100+ pages before I scapped it and started from scratch. And each time the comic was better than before!
Keep it up! I really enjoy your comic. Start again and don´t worry, if you keep on drawing things will get better!

Please do, I agree with everyone, and I for one won't be bored. I mean, sure you had quite a few out, but shit happens and I would be willing to read it all again just to see what kind of story you had created

I mean, look at Altermeta by  noben, she had restarted her comic at least five times over, getting as far as you, and restarting each time with a new storyline, and she STILL has fans from her first carnation!

And a reboot isn't always a bad thing. It gives you the chance to try out new directions and plotlines with your story/universe. Besides It's been a good while so I'm sure your readers wouldn't mind a reboot given the curcumtances.

I agree with this, a redo comes with alot of stress to get back to where you left off asap. I thought about doing a redo for the first 40 pages of my comic, but the thought made me wanna scream XD

Continuing without certain characters in it wouldnt be outlandish at all, I mean, writers take out characters they get bored with or hit a wall with, all the time ya know!

Don't worry about starting from the beginning thinking we wouldn't wanna see the same thing again. Based on everyone's comments here, I'm sure we would love to see a rehash of the comic from the beginning! Heck, lots of great artists constantly end up redoing their work and adding details to it!

You don't have to restart the whole thing.

You could just take up where you left off with different individuals playing the same characters. You'd get to take up where you left off, and not worry about the copyright thing. You're followers would figure out what's what quickly enough.

It's worked for James Bond for 50 years now.

just get the rights to use what people you can, re cast the ones you cant, and slowly go back and redo some old pages with the new peoples instead of the old ppl like kim.

when it comes to the character that dont belong to you, you could redraw them as your own characters insted. i know it be a pain redrawing the pages and changing name but atleast it mean you be able to carry on

You know, I had to restart a story 3 times because of the same issues, but now I can finally do one last try that will work this time because I redid the whole thing, but kept the same concept there. You can do the same, everyone here supports it. =)
