My High School is doing Little Shop of Horrors for our Musical (Orin is played by yours truly~), so I decided to do a cover of "Skid Row", with a slight twist. It's more of a change of point of view, really.
First, we hear a businessman or worker of some sort, stuck in the run-down trashy parts, Downtown. Then, a lowly Wino takes the stage, exploiting the grimy and greasy underbelly of Skid Row as he remarks on how he grew up poor, and lives just the same. In the end, both have that deep longing to get outta there! Wanna know why? Just ask any Wino, he'll know...
EDIT: Ok when I was singing the Wino's bit, I actually started getting choked up... I thought I'm supposed to be in character, not the character be in me o.o

ya I know dat. That's why many people in our production agree I am a GREAT dentist. Hey, I'm already insane, and slightly sadistic (in terms of summoning Dark Brotherhoods to complete various deeds as I make my little list in this random journal I have while some weird demon guy watches over me, who btw likes apples, especially poison ones he got from an old woman who ate two little children after burying some young girl alive in a mine which was home to seven little men that formerly worked in a tree until said tree caught fire from an evil dragon that was once a terrifying sorceress, who killed a young fair lady by poisoning her with the prick of a needle, using poison made by the finest woodsman of sherwood forest, who had married a fair maiden and her name is Juliet.) Yea, something like that :)
