This is why you don't give me a Knex box and a computer with access to the internet at the same time.
I made the Knex gun a long ass time ago (probably about a year ago now) and for some reason have kept it ever since... probably because it took up a whole afternoon to make! The bipod flips up and down, the magazine is removable, the scope even has a crosshair and the thing SHOULD shoot... I never managed to get the mechanism working with this one >.<
Anyhow. Photo wise I never got any good ones with it.. probably because I was somewhat ashamed for being this sad and making it and finding it cool... but either way :P
Photo taken with an Olympus E420 on a 10 second exposure with me being extremely still xD Sent through photoshop for all the added extras and lack of colour!
Most people that look at this are probably shaking their heads in dispair, I know.

Nothing wrong with Lego
Nice shot but I don't think I could keep still for that long.
Another fur tweeted this youtube video of a lego truck with an engine running off compressed air the other day. It even sounds like a real truck. I want one.

I've heard of LPE power before... quite a while back actually. I really want one of their engines one day xD

Ah shows how out of touch I am. I don't think Knex existed when I was a kid. I had Lego and Meccano. I've no idea what happened to it all. I'll bet my parents threw it out when I moved to London when I was 18 :(

Hehe. Yeah. Making guns out of Lego is considerably harder! Knex is a lot newer product to the market than good old Lego though :P
As for the light source. Simply just my phone torch! A single, wide spreading LED on it which gives off a bright white/very slightly yellow light :) I love it xD
Though as I said in the description, this has been sent through Photoshop too. So a diffuse glow effect has been added, contrast levels and exposure slightly changed too.

!!! I really want one of those little light rings for the end of my camera!
Usually they're rather expensive to buy... but a site by the name of "dealextreme.com" does cheap ones in all sorts of diameters x3 I think there's a youtube vid or two telling you how to wire them up to the camera too x3

Yours does a shit ton more than this thing ever would. That and I didn't actually create/come up with this. Followed from someone else's instruction.
Does weigh an absolute ton and the part count was stupid high due to it being pretty solid all the way through about 6 layers xD
Many props to you for actually designing and creating yours though! Something I would never be able to do!
