In the original Luckyman manga, every comic after the 9th Tankoubon (manga treasury), Tensaiman would mostly just stand there, with his eyes closed, with no visible mouth, in a background very similar to this one, stroking his hair and saying "Hmph" (ふっ). Even when EVERYBODY ELSE acted like:
YAY! He did it! YAY!
OH NO! Look out! Everybody run!!
Or even if they were all looking in one direction--
...Tensaiman would still literally be BLISSFULLY IGNORANT of EVERYTHING happening around him, This is literally all he ever does now!
This is an accurate Tensaiguma version of the same thing that happens A BILLION TIMES A SECOND IN EVERY COMIC IN ALL ETERNITY.
Enjoy.

Sounds like a very bishounen thing to do, standing apart and brooding, perhaps with long hair blowing dramatically in the wind, even if there is no wind. Now, I don't know if Tensaiman is a bishounen or not. But this is me exhibiting my anime ignorance. :)
This looks like the Tensaiguma equivalent, all right :)
Hmph.
(I had to do that)

You are right. Tensaiman is a bishounen! More like a biseinen, actually.
But he doesn't brood. That's actually him being humble about his smartness. That "Hmph" is in the same context as a chuckle most of the time (and he does chuckle every once in a while).
If you could ACTUALLY SEE HIS MOUTH, he would have a little smile whilst closing his eyes.
However, it is VERY common for a mysterious caped hero like him (or as I call them, "Manto Biseinen") to brood like that. They usually have dark pasts, are very serious, always live life alone, and their sole purpose is to fight enemies, then run away into the night. They also have epic nicknames like "The legendary something" or "the tragic something". or the "lone something".
Tensaiman was like that in the 5 episodes he appeared in the swan song of the anime, but he became a good guy in the finale, and in the manga, he eventually fitted into the series as a normal ol' super hero.
