Right?
I'm absolutely terrible, I know. Yet again, I didn't draw Homecoming Regression because I'm obsessed with seeing what I can make a tablet do. This is yet another test drawing in Paint Tool Sai. Everything was created digitally, start to finish. I'm still getting better with it, but I don't feel I'm totally 100% up to my usual quality with pencil and paper, and I don't want to submit a Homecoming Regression comic that's of worse quality than what has come before.

Perspective is super difficult to do, it does kinda look more like he's just very big. I think, instead of making the person look as though they're on her side, they should look like they're in front. So the hand would be angled differently and Gemma would be looking more straight on. Otherwise though, looks great c:
Well I got right away that Grub was closer to the viewer. I think maybe if the hand entered the frame from the top -- and maybe if Grub were a little blurred because the "camera" was focused on Gem, I don't know -- it might have been clearer to everybody, but it wasn't unclear to me.
Gem is really very cute here. I like her nose and her one-toothed smile. Her walk is kind of stiff, but that's kind of the point, isn't it? She's not very good at the whole walking thing, or else she wouldn't be learning to walk, now would she? So yeah, the stiff walking stance makes sense, with the arms in the air and everything.
I think you're getting it, and very quickly at that.
