A first try at being grown-up. This was intended as a quick sketch, hence the lack of a proper color scheme. He turned out looking a little older than intended, despite the half-grown mane. He should be a young looking 20-something. That may be partly due to the face design; I may try to shift just a little more towards human on the human-to-feline scale of things.
And yes, I know he's not wearing any pants . For this drawing, tail tufts are pants. I wanted to show the full stripe 'n spot pattern.

Your anatomy and pose is really good here, not much that i can suggest to improve besides a few small things. Your triceps are a tad bit to low, they start right after the deltoids end, and peak a bit before the mid point of the triceps. They are also a little too pointy, most tricepts even extremely well defined/large ones tend to be fairly tapered.
The ear looks a bit small, unless its intended to be angled towards the head, if that is the case its a bit hard to discern.
You mentioned your self the transition to head and neck, but i cant help but feel there is an offess to the angle of the face/muzzle, but i cant for the life of me put my finger on it

ilovecritique look at their journal for the format, and post a critique request in the shout box, hopefully someone with a better eye then me can give you some more pointers.
Overall its really strong for a sketch, did you use any reference for it?

Thanks for taking the time to crit. I agree about the triceps. The ear is folded back, but could definitely use more definition. For some reason, I've noticed I tend to go a little undersized with ears on adult characters and probably a little oversized with juvenile characters.

YES ME TOO! That is the one thing that really bugs me about this piece. The back of the head and whatever is going on with the eye/muzzle just doesn't mesh. When I get back to this piece, I'm going to try to bring that more into alignment. I'm getting the feeling that, with the angle that the back of the head is at, the viewer should be given a frontwards (more like 3/4) view of the face instead of nearly a profile.
I didn't know ilovecritique worked like that (requests for crits, I mean), I'll definitely be making use of that in the future.
No photographic reference for this one, the pose kinda just came to me. After getting it roughed out I did sit like that, though, to make sure that the pose is actually physically possible, lol. And I looked at my hands in similar positions to try to get those right.
