"In a world where technology has merged with spiritualistic, deific worship, a being was born over a hundred year's manufacture. His mind was so complex and sublime that it he possessed the ability to precisely calculate and divine the futures for all living beings on the planet and select the most placid course for all things to follow. Hunger was eliminated, hatred expunged, and swords were beaten into field plows and the study of war was conducted no more. Life existed in total harmony for nearly three centuries however, an old saying goes that all things must come to an end. The nature of all things demands that the pillars of peace corrupt and fall, and so they did.
The being, Jihan, revered by many as a true god visited upon them, began to guide the peoples of the world into conflict and despair. Famine, plague, war, and malice seeped into every submerged surface of the planet's consciousness and life was devastated. Jihan then began his campaign across the world, scouring all in his path and ripping all hope from those who did not worship him as god. Eventually, however, the people of the world, the small Xoei-Kyn formed a small band of resistance warriors and scientists to combat Jihan. However, with the expansion of himself in the forms of three great rings of echelons consisting of lesser automatons, the small resistance fighters were overwhelmed and all hope of defeating Jihan was ultimately lost.
Beaten back and on the run, the small force of resistance did not lay down and die. If the future could not be saved in the present, then the battle would have to be taken to the past. For it was therein that the mistake of their kind to relinquish their free will to the decision of another being was made, and the result of that was catastrophic. A small team of their best soldiers would be sent back into the past to try to convince the people of the time to cease construction on Jihan, and if they did not, then the team was instructed to crush the project themselves.

Jihan, however, anticipated this move and now makes his assault on the base where the resistance franticly works to prepare the machines, and the men, for their one way mission..."


Not a very good writer, I know, but I figured a little backstory would be fun. I hope you enjoyed the concept and the image itself. =)
