Yeah the texture is awesomeness. The diffuse and specular are superb (Sorry, got a little carried away with 3D talk - Diffuse = color, specular is shininess! Shinyshinyshiny)
Hydras are (almost) always awesome. I especially love the three headed variety. You can blame warcraft 3 for that ^^

Wow. Awesome job. The colors, textures and shading all look fantastic, and just beautifully brings this amazing scene to life.

Sorry for the very late comment, but this is just the best thing ever! The digital coloring on the skin makes me go wow every time, not to mention how great you drew Hiccup all pissed off and scared at the same time. I seriously need to finish writing this damn thing already. XD Thanks so much! Words cannot express how awesome of an artist I think you are! Excellent work!
