I can’t remember exactly where I got the idea for this commission, but I do know that it came quickly. I recall being inspired by Ocelot’s richly colored works, and somehow that led me to chalk drawings in an abandoned schoolyard. There’s something innocently beautiful about such a place, but yet it’s absolutely temporary -- and therefore rather sad too. It’s a potent mix.

Xyk is delighted to embrace such a find. He’s here to remind us that youthful wonder need not be fleeting. Age – and its torrent of implications – will wash away only what we allow. Listen to Coyote, and go out and play.
