Decided after seeing a few examples online, to build an old style monster hunters travel kit. These were kits often issued to certain hunters and priests by the church (or other providers) with blessed items and specimens, and weapons to guard the traveler on trips through "unsafe" or "damned" lands.
I decided to make a kit that would have been circa mid to late 19th century.
I also decided, that if I was going to make it, I was going to make it as real as possible (some items pending the completion). Kit was designed to be not only for protection and monster hunting, but with research and data collecting in mind as well.
Contents:
*1 LeMatt 9-shot revolver with a 20ga shotgun barrel (and all the accouterments needed to fire it)
*Sterling silver pellets for the shot gun
*12 feet of jute rope (as for the 12 apostles and 12 tribes of Israel)
*Sketch book/journal
*Silver coins
*Sterling silver rosary with 12 silver beads (waiting for silver cross in mail to finish it)
*Apothecary jar for Aconitnum lycoctonum (wolfsbane) (empty until they sprout in spring)
*3 labeled specimen jars of different species of werewolves
*1 jar with werewolf fore-claw and fang
*Cloves of garlic
*2 wooden stakes
*Holy bible
*Collapsible tin candle holder with candles
*Telescoping spy glass
*Jar natural sea salt (for demons and spirits)
*Bottle of spirits (alcohol, rum of course *wink*)
*Windable pocket watch
*Pocket knife and razor
*Specimen tongs
*Bottle of holy water (will be getting the real stuff from the baptismal site at the Jordan river in a week or so)
*Silver ring with lapis lazuli
*Smudge stick
*Spirit totem (of an arctic wolf)
*Prayer beads
*Slightly burnt werewolf photo
*Letters of warning to the holder of the kit
*Pages of different monster sketches and bios
*Small Latin blessing/enchantment to protect from minor demons when sleep and wake
(I might be forgetting something...)
Also need a medium wooden crucifix and a hammer or mallet I like and I'm about set. Can't tell, but behind the pistol and stakes is velvet lined. jars are packed in with wheat straw to prevent rattling and breakage during transport.
Thought, while I'm doing this, I might as well get it close to the real thing as I can. Heck, might even find a priest willing to "bless it just for laughs".
Will post the finish product later if it looks much different.

Might have gotten too deep lol. On each of the sample bottles includes the genus, species, subspecies, item in question, date and place of discovery, and what church/abbey/monastery was providing/in charge of the sample. The latter took a long time because I was actually looking for ones that were still active by 1900, at least 400 years old, usually in a remote area that a monster could hunt (during that time period) (big cities were too easy to get caught), but still old and big enough to be trusted to keep antiquities by the main church.
