So while I was making my hat, tried to learn to knit as well. She got about 2 inches into her scarf and promptly informed me that I was "much better at this shit" and practically begged me to make her a hat out of the yarn she had bought. I let her pick out the pattern from my book, and then looked at her and went "That's it? But that's so EASY!"

Was a good thing. Had a lot going on around the holidays, so this was a nice easy project to keep my hands busy while I talked with people.
