Oh man, this is what the people of the 70's really wanted to see in movies but couldn't with how Special effects weren't advanced enough.
Flowering liquid bubble cities high up in the air.
I can just barely read the signs, not completely though. Upper sign,"Hey I.O.U. Read More"
Lower sign," I'm serious"
Like I said, I can't completely read them.

the bubbles around the landing platforms are actually there for other reasons. one of which is that they isolate the area around the plane once passengers disembark - prevents bacterial contamination without the Conturian authorities being aware. all parties have to descend through elevators down the stem, where they're put through a series of scans and de-contaminations.
the other reason is it prevents suicides/accidents. if a small body leaves the edge of the platform, alarms go off and the bottom/sides of the bubble become gelatinous. whoever falls bounces/slides to the lowest point where by then people are ready to help them out.
the bubble domes you can see on some of the buildings below are made of the same plasma, but not used for the same purpose. those domes are for city-funded farms and parks. they produce a large amount of the food in the city, and ensure that a harsh winter won't prevent the inhabitants from eating properly. the domes also protect the plants against most insects, vermin, etc.
it's nearing fall in this portion of Contura, so the domes remain closed at all times. during pollination season (spring) they shut down the domes an allow the plants to cross-polinate across the city.
the cities themselves can also turn on large plasma domes to protect against *whatever* but most of the time they don't.
