Jannisia is a character I created a long time ago and adapted to roleplay. She's a rather large gryphon/sergal crossbreed, and has massive powerful wings, a pointed and sharp beak ridge along the front of her jaws under the lips, a gryphon mane, and an oddly muscular structure for a sergal.

She and her kin live in a world of my creation, Easton.

She belonged to a clan of hybrids called, by most, the Slaver Clan. They were close to producing the desired breeding effect when she was born, a more dragonlike sergal, but their research ended with her. She was taught right from wrong by an outside contact, and now understands what most clan members do not: that the brainwashing they perpetuate is a means of control woven by the clan's ageless leader, a mostly dragon crossbreed sergal named Egari.

She was banished from the clan by Egari and given black markings using a special process to seal her fate as clan-less forever. Eventually, she overthrew her original clan with aide from another race and settled in to help create a new way for the sergals to live. The Council of Dames, powerful women from each family, ensured that there were no longer any clans... and thus that Jannisia wasn't the only clan-less one.

Jannisia's story is still being told.
