They do make Peeps for the Christmas season (I can think of snowmen Peeps right off the bat), but for bird Peeps, she probably either special ordered them or saved a whole lot of them from the discount bin in post-Easter sales or somewhen. Hard to say. Like you said, asking a ferret can be very futile.
