Wanted to make a MLP: FiM character. So I did.
The scanner killed the staff with the notes. DX But it's the first few measures of Brahms Lullaby, that soothing lullaby everyone knows and there are many different lyrics to, usually just depending on what the mother feels like singing.

Anyway, Cats Meow is a unicorn. Her special talent is being able to calm all manner of animals with her voice, singing to them or with them. She uses this ability often to keep her patients still, as she's a veterinarian and sometimes it's difficult to set a big dog's broken leg if it keeps moving around.
Ever since she was a filly, she's loved to sing, and she thought that was her special talent. But years passed and no cutie mark. Then when she was out walking with her cat, Fermata (she was probably about seven at the time) he ran after something, tripped, and sprained his front leg. When she tried to help him, he wouldn't let her touch it. So she sang to him, and he calmed down and let her look at it.
After getting Fermata home and into the hooves of her parents, she finally noticed her new cutie mark. :D
She has no particularly wonderful unicorn powers. She's nowhere near being a Twilight Sparkle. XD I guess hers are more near Rarity's talents. When mature, she can easily lift things and move delicate tools using her magic, which makes serious vet work much safer than trying to use her teeth like an Earth pony or pegasus would have to. However, she can't locate gems. XD That's strictly Rarity's thing.
Also, Cats doesn't really associate with the mane cast of My Little Pony. I mean, of course everyone are friends in PonyVille and seem to know everyone's name, but she's not particularly close to anyone we know. She'll work with Fluttershy, since sometimes even Fluttershy can't handle a particularly angry cat with a broken tail, or something of that sort. Being animal lovers and with a natural talent for soothing animals, they do make a good team. Though Fluttershy's very shy around her... that's normal.
But yeah. This is Cats Meow. Her name is really just my attempt to be punny. Because she particularly loves cats, which meow... and a Cats Meow is someone with exceptional talent, usually in singing. And uh... yeah. ._.
As for Fermata, his name comes from a symbol commonly found in music, indicating that you hold out the note for longer than it's supposed to be. Incidentally, Fermata has wonderful lung control and can hold out notes quite well when singing with his owner Cats.
