This was a project I had to do for a Grade 11 English project. I had to make a song up about Serfs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serf) for class, so I spent 20 minutes in GarageBand and came up with this dreck. I changed the pitch on my voice because my normal singing voice is horrid. Not that this is much better
LYRICS:
Livin' In The Year 1060,
I may be poor but please don't judge me.
The Kings and Queens,
They're all fancy.
Think they have the right to walk all over me.
My house it sucks, it's made out of sticks.
My kid sister's sad cause she's so sick.
Looked down in this society,
cause of this god-damn retched hierarchy.
All we're looking for is equality,
but it seems that's something we'll never see.
We can't afford no food, why?
We pay goods to the Lords, why?
The Lords say it's cause god don't love us,
or need us,
or want us,
or even care about us.
And they say we're living in chivalry,
but all I see is misery,
and hierarchy,
and a false sense of security,
brought on by a misguided sense of priority.
I can't stand living in this society!
The Serfs are treated like the scape-goat;
we're the last ones to the lifeboat.
Good life is just over the moat.
Good life is all we ask for.
But can we have it? NO! Cause that's paid for.
Now the song is winding down,
Soon we'll be drivin' right out of the town.
The one thing we need to learn from this song,
is that the Serfs don't have long.
And we'll see how you like it in your hierarchy,
when the Serfs take over your society.
Serfs Out!
